This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Worcester and make a meaningful impact as our next Head of School of Nursing and Midwifery.

At Worcester, we recognise the heart of nursing and midwifery — compassion, professionalism and a deep commitment to improving lives. We are looking for an inspiring leader who shares these values and is ready to guide a vibrant community of educators, practitioners and students.

In this role, you’ll guide the School’s academic vision, nurture a supportive culture for staff, and ensure our students receive an exceptional learning experience that prepares them for meaningful, person‑centred practice. You’ll work closely with regional health and care partners, strengthen professional pathways, and champion high‑quality teaching, research and clinical collaboration.

You’ll bring credibility as a nurse or midwife, a passion for developing others, and the confidence to lead with empathy and clarity, along with the motivation to shape the future of the professions you care deeply about.

What's in it for you:

- 42 days of leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays and University closure days)

- Access to a range of benefits such as our Staff Retail Benefits Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme and Tusker Car Leasing

- Wellbeing advice and support through our Employee Assistance Programme

- In-house training and development support

- A friendly, inclusive and supportive culture and work environment

Please note that if not already an employee of the University of Worcester, the appointed candidate will be employed through our subsidiary company, Uniworc Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Worcester. Appointees of Uniworc Limited will automatically be enrolled into the Aviva FlexHE defined contribution pension scheme (subject to earnings and other eligibility criteria).
