The role

Most health-AI startups are running pilots. This company has AI co-workers live in production across dozens of hospitals, less than two years in. They're going after healthcare's administrative crisis — the invisible machinery of care coordination still runs on spreadsheets, paper notes, and phone calls, while the people operating it are over capacity and the workforce shortfall keeps growing. The team is small and engineering-led, drawn from the strongest deployed-software and frontier AI companies, and backed by leading investors. The traction is real, and the next year of the product gets shaped by the people joining now.

You'd be a Forward Deployed Engineer owning AI workflows end-to-end — embedded with hospital teams, taking ambiguous non-technical input from stressed administrators, and shipping full-stack product that solves their actual problem. Then you bring what you learned back and it changes the core product. This is forward deployment, not consulting. Not gathering requirements for someone else to build. Not a pure backend seat three steps removed from users. You sit with the people drowning in admin, work out what would genuinely help, and build it — with direct touchpoints with the CEO and a flat team where your output is impossible to miss.

The work

• Own delivery of AI workflows across the full stack — from an ambiguous, non-technical requirement to product running live inside a hospital.
• Sit with care coordination teams on site, hear where the real complexity lives, and ship against it fast.
• Turn field insight into core product — forward-deployed work here feeds the platform, not one-off builds.
• Work across heterogeneous hospital tech and processes, on a stack chosen for velocity: Python (FastAPI), TypeScript/React, Postgres.
• Ship from day one on a team of roughly ten, flat structure, regular direct contact with the CEO.

What you bring

• A genuine motivation to fix healthcare — this team turns down strong engineers who don't have it.
• An engineering bar set at top-tier tech companies, quant firms, or the strongest startups — with evidence of 0 → 1 product work, not just maintaining systems at scale.
• Comfort taking unstructured input from non-technical people and shipping full-stack product against it — high ownership, low ego, IC through and through.
• Eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available), and comfortable with 5 days a week in office or on customer site in London.
