Job Description

The University is seeking applicants with an interest in asset management; this is an exciting opportunity to join a team of existing Estates professionals in delivering outstanding maintenance; building alterations; and improvement projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the Estates team deliver maintenance/inspection regimes and supporting the management of assets across our campuses, including opportunities to be involved and assist with the development of the asset lifecycle programme, ensuring investment is not only value for money but focussed in the right areas

The University has a diverse mix of buildings, of various ages and this role will play a key role in supporting the development of the Estate by improving performance of our existing installations. No day will be the same with this role, the varying nature of our installations and systems will be an exciting challenge.

About You

The University is seeking applicants with experience within Facilities Management, ideally with a maintenance bias. Experience of managing assets or setting up maintenance regimes would be perfect.

On some occasions it may be necessary to prepare process maps or mark-ups for external contractors or internal stakeholders. Both verbal and written communication skills will be important, with the ability to both interpret and explain complex information.

Due to the nature of Estates activities, it could be beneficial to occasionally attend construction sites, plant areas, or other campuses. So, please ensure you will be able to manage these conflicting demands and have experience in managing time efficiently and effectively.

You’ll be supporting the entire Estates portfolio for maintenance and asset management; you’ll be supporting engineers and surveyors who are responsible for their own portfolios but there is a huge range for you to get involved with from Fire Systems to HVAC Systems.

Where is this role based?

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed.

However, there could be activities as part of this role at any of our Campuses.
