Band 5 physiotherapist (rotational)

36hrs/week Fixed 29 weeks

Royal Infirmary and Western General Hospitals, Edinburgh

We are looking for motivated and proactive Physiotherapists to join our acute adult therapy service.

• General Critical Care
• Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Acute Medicine
• Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics
• Respiratory
• Out-patients
• Neurosurgery
• Stroke
• Medicine of the Elderly
• Major Trauma
  
  

You Will Need

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide concise professional advice and the ability to work in liaison with multi-professional teams.
• Strong assessment and decision-making skills to deliver physiotherapy treatment planning, goal setting and discharge planning in a range of specialities.
• A confident and assertive outlook to facilitate ongoing service development within a proactive and energetic department.
  
  

You Will

• Undergo training and receive support to enable your participation in overnight on call and weekend working
• Participate in a 5/7 day working pattern which includes Saturday and Sunday working every 8 weeks
  
  

These posts offer a varied and interesting case mix. The department offers individual professional development through regular CPD opportunities and individualised appraisal with the NHS-wide Turas system.
