The scheme will give candidates exposure to various clinical settings to develop necessary knowledge, skills, and experience a GMC requirement to gain entry into specialist register. There should be opportunities for participation in clinical governance. Candidates will remain on the programme for at least three years (subject to a satisfactory progression). The doctor will be given a specific job plan with special interest sessions which help to cover the needs of the GMC criteria for Knowledge, skill and Experience needed for specialist register.

To be eligible for the programme, you must have at least 3 years training in Psychiatry with a formal qualification like M.D.(Psychiatry) or other Postgraduate qualifications which were gained after a period of training and qualifying examinations and is recognised by GMC.
