We are currently seeking a talented individual to take the lead role for the provision, preparation, management, and maintenance of human material, including cadavers, prosections, plastinated & potted specimens used in anatomy teaching across a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Anatomy Section. Furthermore, you will contribute to the practical teaching of anatomy within the AS at City St George’s for both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
You will have previous knowledge and experience in human anatomy and cadaveric dissection and, ideally, experience in specimen potting. You will have a proven track record of preparing and maintaining anatomical specimens for teaching; and ideally will have experience of teaching/demonstrating anatomy. Alongside this you will be highly organised, methodical, computer-literate, and able to communicate effectively with academic staff, students, and fellow support staff.
Applicants will be required the deliver the following presentation at interview:
You are demonstrating a dissection to year 1 MBBS students. You are asked to take a small group aside for 10 minutes and explain/demonstrate your process and discuss the anatomy you reveal. This can be based on an area of your choice’
Interviews will be held at the Tooting Campus at City St George’s.
