Job Description

The Role
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Band 6 Community Dietitian to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde within our West Quadrant team. This is a rewarding role where you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based nutritional care across diverse community settings. You will work autonomously while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, making a real difference to patient outcomes and population health. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
- This role will be based at Drumchapel Health Centre
- Part-time, Permanent
- You will be working 4 days out of 7
- Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part-time hours.
- Deliver evidence based dietetic assessment, diagnosis and treatment to patients across a diverse community caseload
- Plan, organise and deliver clinics, home visits and group education sessions for patients and carers
- Work autonomously to prioritise workload and provide specialist nutritional advice for a range of clinical conditions including diabetes and nutrition support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, primary care, and partner agencies to ensure effective patient care
- Provide education, supervision and mentorship to student dietitians, support workers and other healthcare staff
- Contribute to service development, audit, research and implementation of clinical guidelines and standards
- Support health improvement initiatives and deliver culturally appropriate nutrition education within local communities
- BSc in Human Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent and registration with the HCPC as a Dietitian
- Significant post registration experience with evidence of continued professional development
- Experience managing a clinical caseload independently within community or relevant healthcare settings
- Strong clinical knowledge across a range of conditions and nutritional assessment techniques
- Excellent communication, motivational and interpersonal skills with ability to influence and engage others
- Experience of teaching, training or supporting colleagues and students in practice
- Ability to organise workload effectively with strong time management and IT skills including MS Office
