Veterinary Surgeon – Part Time - Hucknall Vets for Pets

About Us

Our stand-alone practice is based in the thriving Nottinghamshire town of Hucknall.

Hucknall boasts excellent transport links to Nottingham and beyond and is ideal for commuters while still offering a relaxed, suburban feel. The town features a variety of independent shops, cafés, and pubs, as well as beautiful green spaces like Titchfield Park. We have good schools, affordable housing, and a growing local economy so if you’re looking to move then Hucknall has a lot to offer!

At Hucknall Vets for Pets, we have a team of 3 Vets and 4 Nurses as well as an incredible administrative support team of 4 Receptionists and Practice Manager. We are a friendly and welcoming team and on the odd occasion will also enjoy team nights out together!

What We Are Looking For

  • A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with valid RCVS registration
  • You will have a wealth of experience working in small animal practice and are confident to do both consult and surgery – minimum 3 years qualified
  • You will have an in depth understanding of first opinion practice in the UK
  • You will be confident in surgery and might have a surgical bias or certificate
  • There might be potential for the right individual to move into a Lead Vet role with us in the near future
  • The role is part time hours, and you will be part of a weekend rota working either 1:3 weekends with time off in lieu if worked
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for animal welfare and high-quality patient care
  • Team player attitude with the ability to work independently
