Job Description

We are looking for a motivated & caring individual who would like a rewarding role as part of a supported living service that really makes a difference.

Pay: £13.21 per hour (Overtime rate of £13.71 per hour)

Hours: 48 hours per week (based on 12-hour shifts)

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will join our team supporting service users in their homes in Epsom, Surrey. Accordia staff benefit from great career progression, sector-leading professional training and great job stability.

We specialise in providing person-centred care for adults with a forensic mental health background, challenging behaviour, learning disabilities and autism to enable them to play a meaningful role within their community. You will be responsible for the delivery of outstanding care to the people we support.

Our flagship supported living service on Reigate Road is an 8-minute walk from Ewell East train station and has on-site parking.

  • Experience with working with people with mental health issues, autism, challenging behaviours and learning disabilities
  • Experience of using restraint techniques or willingness to be trained to use restraint techniques
  • Ability to confidently work alone whilst being part of a wider team
  • Strong ethical values and a person-centred approach
  • Flexibility & ability to work shifts to meet the needs of the service

Desirable

  • Experience working with either forensic mental health, supported living or in a residential setting
  • An NVQ qualification in social care or a Care Certificate (training can be provided)
  • Knowledge and understanding of diabetes / experience of working with individuals with diabetes training can be provided)
  • Has a full UK valid driving licence
  • Lives within a 30-minute commute / drive to Epsom

Sponsorship:

We may be able to offer Tier 2 Sponsorship for the right candidate. To qualify, candidates must already live within the local area of Accordia Supported Living Service in Epsom, Surrey.
