Forward Deployed Engineer – AI Platform
💼 The Role
We are partnered with a rapidly growing AI software business who are continuing to scale following huge demand from enterprise customers.
They’re hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to join a newly created technical delivery function focused on deploying AI-powered solutions into complex customer environments.
This is a highly technical, post-sales engineering role combining coding, integrations, workflow automation, and customer interaction. You’ll work directly with enterprise clients to build, configure, and optimise AI-driven solutions in live production environments.
It’s ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work but also wants to stay close to customers and real-world delivery.
🚀 Key Responsibilities
- Build and configure AI-driven workflows and automation solutions
- Develop integrations and connect customer systems via APIs
- Work directly with enterprise customers to gather technical requirements and solve delivery challenges
- Test, troubleshoot, and optimise AI deployments in production environments
- Configure tools, workflows, and safeguards to improve reliability and performance
- Partner with product and engineering teams to improve platform capabilities and delivery processes
- Manage technical implementations from initial setup through to launch and iteration
🌟 What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years in a highly technical, customer-facing B2B SaaS role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Customer Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or Solutions Architect
- Strong Python engineering skills with the ability to build, debug, and ship production-grade solutions confidently
- Experience deploying complex technical solutions directly into live enterprise customer environments
- Strong experience working with APIs, integrations, automation workflows, and cloud-based platforms
- Hands-on experience working with AI-powered products, LLMs, agent workflows, RAG systems, or conversational AI platforms in production environments
- Comfortable owning technical implementations end-to-end, from discovery and scoping through to deployment and iteration
- Strong communication skills with experience working directly with technical and non-technical customer stakeholders
- Experience within technically complex SaaS, cloud, AI infrastructure, developer tooling, or platform businesses strongly preferred
- Stable career history with strong progression and tenure preferred
💰 Package
- £130,000 - £170,000 base salary
- Competitive equity package
- Visa sponsorship available
- Full-time permanent position
- 5 days per week in-office
- Central London location
