Job Description

Salary: From £39,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience) + comprehensive benefits package

Jisc grade: TGE3 (internal use only)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Reports into: Senior salesforce administrator

Working style: Hybrid - A blend of working from home and your nominated hub office. We have hubs located in London, Bristol, Manchester and Oxford.

The role:

As part of Jisc’s Group CTO directorate, this role sits within Workplace IT on the DXP Operations Team. The team develops and maintains the DXP Platform, supporting customer‑facing services and providing 2nd and 3rd line technical expertise.


You’ll be responsible for configuring, managing, and supporting the Salesforce platform ensuring reliability, security, and alignment with business needs. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll drive platform adoption, deliver operational improvements, and contribute to both day‑to‑day support and larger change initiatives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Configure, maintain and support the Salesforce platform, including declarative changes such as fields, objects, page layouts, Flows and validation rules.
  • Manage and resolve work through the service desk queue, including triage, investigation and prioritisation of support requests in line with SLAs.
  • Deliver platform enhancements from the operational backlog and support larger change initiatives alongside senior administrators and developers.
  • Proactive system maintenance including keeping up to date with release updates and platform health checks.
  • Manage deployments using Copado and follow agreed release and governance processes.
  • Administer Salesforce security and access, including users, roles, profiles, permission sets and access reviews.

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrable experience in managing users, roles, profiles, and permission sets.
  • Proven experience administering Salesforce Service Cloud and/or Salesforce CPQ.
  • Experience modifying existing Flows and validation rules with support.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including custom settings, dashboards and reports.
  • Ability to use Jira to (a) transfer triaged bugs from service desk and (b) collaborate with developers and stakeholders on standard change delivery.
  • Understanding of core Salesforce objects (e.g., Accounts, Contacts).
  • Understanding of Salesforce security basics (e.g., roles, sharing rules).
  • Understanding of the ITIL-aligned service management including incident, problem and change processes.
  • A proactive attitude to implementing best practice solutions.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with stakeholders
