At Eni, we are looking for a HULL & LQ Construction Representative to join Shanghai Eni Engineering Consulting Ltd. in China. You will be responsible for supporting and coordinating project activities related to the Floating Production Unit (FPU), focusing on construction, commissioning, and logistics of new oil and gas facilities. You will ensure safe, efficient, and effective commissioning and start-up operations in line with company targets and stakeholder expectations. Additionally, you will support operations readiness and assurance activities from concept through to project sanction and execution, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, safety, and environmental objectives, while identifying and mitigating operational risks to optimise field construction activities.

Your employment contract will be managed by Eni International Resources Ltd (EIRL).

Main responsibilities:

  • Oversee the quality of commissioning activities definition, planning, and execution
  • Drive compliance with project cost and schedule targets for commissioning and readiness
  • Deliver all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in line with planned targets
  • Develop pre-commissioning and commissioning plans and procedures in collaboration with discipline engineering and operations teams
  • Lead commissioning team activities
  • Administer contracts related to commissioning and start-up vendors
  • Ensure the availability of adequate and competent commissioning personnel
  • Verify that all contractors are fully competent and compliant with project HSEQ procedures
  • Endorse official documentation, including work progress and handover certificates
  • Support operations during start-up, providing technical assistance as required

Skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
    Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry across onshore and/or offshore facilities
  • Significant experience in offshore commissioning of oil and gas field development projects
  • Previous upstream Floating Production Unit (FPU) commissioning experience would be an advantage
  • Experience in operations for offshore gas facilities is beneficial
