The role

We are looking to appoint two proactive and confident Facility Managers to support the day-to-day running of our sport and fitness facilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their leisure career. You’ll build operational management proficiency, shape the customer experience, and play a key role in the smooth running of a busy, community‑focused facility.

- Act as Manager on Duty, ensuring LSBU Group facilities operate safely and efficiently
- Oversee opening and closing procedures
- Support continuous service improvement through internal and external audits
- Ensure consistent health and safety compliance across all activities
- Contribute to income generation and occupancy targets
- Monitor, track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Work closely with senior managers to maintain and improve service quality.
- Mon - Fri: 7am - 10pm
- Sat - Sun: 10am - 6pm
- Bank Holidays & University Closure Days: 10am - 4pm
We're looking for someone with energy, professionalism, and a strong background in sport, leisure or fitness operations. You will have:
- Experience working in a leisure or sports environment
- Strong commitment to delivering first-class customer service
- Proven experience acting as Manager on Duty
- Practical knowledge of health and safety legislation in a sport setting
- First aid knowledge and qualification or willingness to obtain.
